House owners who are not Canadian residents, or not Canadian citizens, have to claim the Underused Housing Tax.

These owners include: international students, work permit holders, visitors, non-residents of Canada who live overseas, and foreign companies.

Please be aware of that the penalty is $5,000 to $10,000 if filing late.
